After graduating from the University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Marketing, I began working in the hustle and bustle of the Silicon Valley tech space. While I found the rush to be rewarding, I felt like something was missing. It was a whisper of a feeling that eventually grew into a roar, and I set out to understand how to integrate my fascination with studying human behavior with something where I could foster deep relationships with people and help support them in their daily struggles. This journey led me to taking online community college classes in general areas of psychology, to working in peer counseling and mental health advocacy in Los Angeles with a variety of non-profits working with children and teens and shelters for the unhoused, all the way to an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California.

While in graduate school, I completed a traineeship at Beit T’Shuvah, a residential substance abuse treatment center where I worked with clients facing challenges navigating recovery, and helped to address issues that acted as triggers for their substance abuse, like anxiety, depression, adjusting to a new stage of life, processing trauma, grief, and burnout. I currently am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT # 147434) in California, working under the supervision of Dr. Nectar Redman (PsyD # 18546).

Much of what we are taught from an early age (to believe, to value, etc.) can sometimes not be aligned with who we are authentically, and thus puts us into a misalignment with ourselves, forcing us to resort to behaviors and coping strategies out of pure survival. Sometimes, these behaviors and coping strategies are maladaptive, and do not serve us well in the present day. My approach is to explore these with clients in a safe, and empathetic space, inviting clients to become a playful investigator of their internal experience, tapping into their inner child, nurturing their wounded self and giving expression to those misunderstood parts that long to be seen and heard.
My style in the therapy room is warm, relational, and creative. I like to show up as my authentic self, and integrate curiosity and humor, when appropriate, into my relationships with clients. I practice through several different therapeutic lenses and tailor my approach to each client to best suit their needs. Some of these lenses include:
Psychodynamic theory
Narrative therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Feminist theory
Gestalt theory
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Gottman Theory

I work with all kinds of people; individuals and people in relationships, who are wanting support dealing with life’s stressors, are struggling with relational issues, are wanting to process past difficult lived experiences, etc. I welcome California-residing adults from all walks of life – gender, culture, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation – to my practice and enjoy learning the histories that shaped each of my clients.
I primarily see clients remotely, with limited availability to see folks in-person in our West Los Angeles office. Please note, I only work with adults (18 or older) at this time. Remote clients must be based in California.
